How does your involvement with the organization impact your life?

I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and hear so many amazing stories. I met a donor who donates every time he’s eligible, in honor of his dad. As a child, he would go with his dad to donate blood and then eat coconut cream pie together afterwards. I have heard touching survivor stories of strength, courage, perseverance and appreciation that inspire me every day.

What do you love about your organization?

I love seeing the fruits of our labor, so to speak. Blood really does save lives. I hear it and see it every day. I am privileged to work under the leadership at Coffee Memorial that gives me the freedom to create and share and touch lives.

How do you want your life and organization to affect others?

Being a part of such a wonderful organization is very rewarding. I would encourage everyone to get involved with us in some way – as a blood or platelet donor, a blood drive coordinator, a business owner that hosts blood drives, a company that provides incentives to reward donors or one who can’t give but encourages others to. Lives will be touched Because of You!
