Need a little medicine to warm you up this fall? I do! Try Speyburn neat or use my recipe for a Roy Roy for a lighter palate. Watch this video to learn a little bit about whiskey, bourbon and scotch.
Enjoy!
Rob Roy
1 ½ oz. Scotch
¼ oz. sweet vermouth
Angostura bitters to taste
Maraschino cherry for garnish
Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry. Can also be served on ice in an old-fashioned glass.
The Rob Roy can also be made dry or perfect. For a Dry Rob Roy, substitute dry vermouth for sweet and garnish with an olive. For a Perfect, use ¼ oz. of both sweet and dry vermouth and garnish with a lemon twist.
