The Ebony Fashion Fair, the world’s largest traveling fashion show, has been showcasing models of color since beginning its historic tour in 1958. The show will travel to 180 cities this year, and features 13 models. This represents quite a bit of growth from the first tour which featured 4 models and only visited 10 cities. Fifty years later, the show continues to raise money for charity. Since its beginning, Ebony Fashion Fair has succeeded in raising more than $55 million to benefit charities and scholarship funds, giving thousands of young people the opportunity to further their educations.
