Chamber Music Amarillo was founded in 1998 with the express intent of providing an evening of music, food and fun. Originally conceived as an opportunity to showcase many of the area's finest musicians in beautiful homes of the region, Chamber Music Amarillo now gives dozens of performances at its unique venue on 6th Street, while also traveling throughout the region – for every kind of music lover from children to seniors and those in between. Performing both classical chamber music and jazz, Chamber Music Amarillo regularly hosts crowds of up to150 at its concerts, providing its audience with a wonderful evening of music, food and drink. Accessible to all ages, it is a great opportunity to share “a night on the town” with your friends!
Chamber Music Amarillo provides an intimate experience for its audiences as they enjoy listening to and watching the musicians perform up close; something not readily possible at a larger venue. Recognizing the need to share the arts with many in the community, musicians from Chamber Music Amarillo regularly perform for youth and seniors alike at locations throughout the region. Additionally, performances are given in communities throughout the Panhandle and beyond.
