This month, Westgate Chevrolet let the Amarillo Uptown staff take out the new 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ Pickup for a test drive. This isn’t just daddy’s pickup anymore! The Chevy Silverado has long been established as a sturdy work truck, but the first thing we loved about the new 2008 was the comfortable ride. The 4 door extended cab has plenty of room for the whole family, loads of storage, and lots of features that also make it a great truck for women.

The interior of the LTZ has all the class of a luxury car with leather-appointed bucket seating, and wood grain trim. From the power-adjustable pedals for smaller people who don’t want to be too close to the steering wheel, to separate climate controls, Bose audio system, XM radio with dual controls and headphones, everyone can find their comfort zone. The StabilliTrak control system helps improve vehicle stability, particularly in emergency maneuvers. Plus, the Silverado is equipped with dual-stage front air bags and curtain side-impact air bags.
